We are working toward growing into a Community Interest Company — and we need support to get there. Financial, yes, but also skills, time and expertise.

Our Journey

Sussex Lavender is on a journey. Right now we operate as a small independent project, but we are working toward growing into a Community Interest Company — a legal structure that would lock our mission into the business itself, so that everything we grow, sell or earn is permanently committed to the community.

To get there, we need support. Financial, yes — but also skills, time and expertise, especially around IT, logistics and the legal and admin side of setting up a CIC.

Come and Help Us Grow

There may be a place for you here

We are a small, growing concern — not a finished thing. We are finding our shape as we go, and the right people keep arriving at just the right moment. If you feel drawn to what we are doing, there may well be a place for you.

Content creation and social media storytelling

Capturing what happens here — the harvest, the people, the small moments — and sharing it with the world. This is the work that lets people find us.

IT and operations management

Keeping the systems, the site and the day-to-day logistics running smoothly, so the people out in the field can focus on the field.

Delivery driver

Getting fresh lavender to the care homes, hospices and community organisations who are waiting for it. A practical, tangible role — you see exactly where it goes and what it means.

Fundraising

Helping us find and apply for the support that lets us sustain and grow what we are building. If you know grants, community funding or how to write a good case, we need you.

Body care product development and launch

Turning what we grow into lavender creams, balms and oils, and taking them to market — all the way from the first idea to the finished product. If you have a feel for product development or know how to launch something with care, we'd love to figure this out together.

Tending the land

Seasonal, hands-on work at the field itself. Planting, tending, harvesting. Being out there as part of a small crew, in all weathers and all of the good that brings.

If any of this resonates with you, we would love to hear from you. Tell us a little about yourself and why you feel drawn to this work.

Spread the Word

Tell someone who might care

One of the most useful things anyone can do is share what we are doing. Tell people. Pass the link on. Bring a friend to the field. The more people who know about this project, the better our chances of making it last.

Thank you. Every person who finds out about this place makes a difference.

Together we can make this field last.
