We donate fresh-cut lavender to organisations working with disadvantaged people who can most benefit. We also have paid events, event organiser training days and are open to collaborating with you in time to come.
Free to registered organisations
All lavender is cut fresh to order. The harvest season runs from mid June to mid July, so we recommend pre-ordering and planning your delivery for your group event ahead of time. We will offer training videos to help you support your people to enjoy and get the most from the lavender experience.
The lavender is yours to use however serves your people best. Organisations have used it to run community workshops, create handmade products to sell or gift, and raise funds for their own causes. What matters to us is that it reaches people who need it and that joy is the outcome.
What you receive without cost represents years of physical labour, investment, and hard-won experience. In return, we ask one thing: share your story, your photos, your experience. That exchange is what makes this work.
During harvest season all hands are out in the field, so please allow up to 3 working days for a reply.

You are responsible for only sharing images you have permission to use online. Where anonymity is needed, photos of hands, rooms, lavender arrangements and backs of heads are just as powerful.
Step by step
Tell us who you are, how many people you support and when you'd like delivery. We'll confirm your free allocation.
In return, send a photo or a few words on how the lavender was used. Every story helps us reach further.
Once confirmed, we will arrange delivery directly with you in time for the harvest season.

Organisations working with children and young people are welcome to apply. We ask that your organisation holds the appropriate safeguarding responsibilities for the young people in your care.
Join an Event
Organisations are welcome to collaborate with Sussex Lavender. The field is not open to the public, but we host ticketed wellbeing days and small-group seasonal events each quarter that help fund the mission. Join the mailing list to hear when the next lavender days are announced.
We provide free trays of loose fresh-cut lavender, delivered to registered care organisations and refuges, that can then be used to create community events - which can also act as fundraisers for their organisation.
Quarterly events for healing and reviving our relationship to lavender, land and each other. These events bring people together around lavender making and community connection.
Paid immersion day funds go toward building infrastructure for educational small-group wellbeing and therapeutic events at the field.
A hands-on day learning how lavender is distilled into essential oil at our copper alembic still - arranged for small groups by arrangement.
Learn at the Field
By arrangement, a small number of event organisers spend focused time with Hannah Mae and the core team - learning how to harvest, bundle, dry and work with lavender, so they can take that knowledge back to their own organisation and people. These are limited, invitation-based days rather than public visits.

The community heart of the field
Land to Hand
Each harvest, we work with local care homes, hospices, wellbeing centres, refuges and children's homes. Fresh trays of loose lavender are made available to organisations so their members can take part in therapeutic bundling sessions.
The rhythm of tying lavender is grounding and calm, and the scent carries long after the session ends. The harvest is done by volunteers who brought this project to life in love and support.

Sussex Lavender is a working project, not open to the public - and we are building a committed core team to carry it forward. We are not looking for one-off help, but for people who can give regular time and skill to the long-term vision, including a paid Land Steward role and work experience placements.
